Marie Elana Roland is the CEO of The Navigation Center. She has been working for more than 20 years with homeless veterans and their families and now is extending her care to the general population.

Throughout her professional career, she has worked in delivering services to those in need. With expertise in the fields of education, behavioral health, outreach and employment, Marie Elana has been a leader in her endeavors.

Through her years of experience, creative solutions and advocacy, Marie Elana has seen the need for a program to fill the gaps of services to bring success to our homeless population. By connecting the dots between the many community organizations and services available to the homeless, her vision of streamlining these services and enhancing communications was realized through the mission of The Navigation Center.

She understands the challenges faced by the providers, the struggles of reintegrating the homeless population, and the need for better communication among the community. This new model is a clearinghouse for our homeless to begin taking the steps needed to create a solid foundation of sustainable housing, all while having the support and advocacy of her and the team at The Navigation Center.

The new streamlined services developed, allow for efficient tracking and records between our hospitals, jails, courts, and community, which will allow for more success in the rehabilitation of those who seek help from The Navigation Center. The relationships formed by Marie Elana continue past their successes and are lifelong. Marie Elana believes that uniting our homeless and communities is the right thing to do.

Marie Elana holds a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University. Marie Elana serves on the Commission of Homeless and Affordable Housing and is a board member of LVET/My VA, advocating community outreach.
